Very rare! A wonderful collection of recipes with a nice touch of the flavor and history of San Diego County. Quoting from the preface: "Our purpose in publishing this book is three-fold; to raise funds to pay nurses who supervise our day nursery at the Balboa Naval Hospital; to show in some small measure how much we appreciate living in this beautiful area; and to pass on a little of the early history of San Diego County to the uninitiated, particularly to Navy and Marine Corps families who will live here in the future.
Each recipe has the facsimile signature of the contributor. Each section begins with a tab divider and an historic photograph from the area. The back of the divider page has a table of contents of that section.
