Original, rare Rumford Baking Powder Receipt (recipe) cook book from 1909. With color chromo-lithograph cover art. 20 page saddle stapled booklet, 9 1/4" X 6". Over 80 recipes included: cakes, cookies, biscuits, muffins, rolls, doughnuts, breads (I love the "Rumford Dyspeptic Bread (can be eaten by those with weak digestion)", tarts, waffles, griddle cakes, soufflé, sauces, creams and fillings, and much more.

Saddle stapled booklet This 1909 edition, with the picture of the girl with a wheat straw in her teeth is an exceptionally rare copy. Please see our other 1909 Rumford Receipt book with a picture of another girl on the front. Note that although they are both from 1909, the contents of the two books are different.

Overall a nice copy, edges are a little worn. The front cover has tiny faint spotting, mostly in the sky-blue areas, and one small chip at the upper hinge corner, rear cover has a 1/2 closed tear along the bottom edge and a couple of mild creases. Interior is quite good, clean, unmarked, the pages are smooth and supple with very little age tanning evident.
