Atlas of Topographical and Applied Human Anatomy,
Vol Two: Thorax, Abdomen, and Extremities
Pernkopf, Eduard
Edited by Dr. Helmut Ferner, translated from German by Dr. Harry Monsen.
First English language edition, W.B. Saunders Co., 1964.
Hardcover, gray patterned boards, quarter bound in deep green leather. Folio, 29.2 cm. 421 pages, with index.
A very good+ to near fine copy.
There are a few
small patches of rubbed color loss on the rear board near the top edge. The lower edge of the boards show very slight shelf scuffing. Right along the top edge of the rear board and extending through the entire volume, to but not through the front board, there is a tiny , anomalous (.5mm dia.) drilled hole, as though a Dremel type tool was used. This hole is within .5 cm of the top edge and does not affect any text or art work. Indeed, it is hardly noticeable. Otherwise, the interior
appears almost as new throughout with no marks or writing noted, the
leather quarter binding is supple and unmarked, the gilt lettering on
the spine and front board is bright and clear.
