TANAR of PELLUCIDAR

Edgar Rice Burroughs

Grosset & Dunlap, 1930.

Hardcover, red linen-textured buckram, black titles on front and spine, with graphic dust jacket.  12mo, 312 pages plus publisher's adverts at rear.   First Grosset & Dunlap printing, 1930. Frontispiece and color jacket art by Paul S. Berdanier

End-matter lists 30 Burroughs titles to The Mucker, with Pellucidar as penultimate title.  Tanar of Pellucidar is not present in list.  Dust Jacket verso lists 30 titles to The Chessmen of Mars in different order than the end-matter list with Pelucidar as number twenty-four and again no listing for Tanar of Pellucidar.

Volume is very near fine, pages are only slightly tanned and still supple, binding square and tight, boards crisp, corners sharp. There are two small "dings along the edges of the read board.  Dust jacket is good with edge wear and chipping at spine head and tail.   Colors bright and clear, unmarked, spine slightly faded. Rear flap has a retailer's price sticker. Jacket protected in Brodart archival poly over-wrap.
