Sali Herman (1898-1993). Swiss-born Australian artist. Known for his paintings of inner streets and slums of Sydney. During WW II he was appointed as an Official War Artist and painted at several locations around the Pacific. 26 of his paintings were submitted to the Australian War Memorial.
Hardcover, tweed cloth, graphic dust jacket. Square format quarto (10 1/4" X 10 3/4"). 120 pages, profusely illustrated, mostly color.
