alphabetical index at the end of the book. Written by Joseph Lanza. Stated
First Edition. A fascinating book about the influence of spirits on the
American psyche. A very interesting look at the way cocktails have
impacted politics, movies, music, architecture, and social interactions.
Not a recipe book or a straightforward history, but the cocktail as an
American ritual. The author does a terrific job of combining history,
subjective rumination and "a few nods to the occult" in this
cultural exploration of the cocktail. Great black & white photographs
scattered throughout.
