Union Army Operations in the Southwest - Final Victory - From the Official Records

----
Here are all the first-hand reports of the final Union Army victory in the Southwest.  The spectacular Glorieta, New Mexico, battle in which the smaller Union Army defeated a superior Confederate Army is one of the highlights of the Union Army in the West.
Also, the retreat of the Confederate Army down the Rio Grande and the trek of the column from California to relieve the embattled Union force is recounted.  A truly memorable volume for the student, collector, and all who take pride in the long and colorful history of New Mexico.
In producing the book, the publishers have used a facsimile process so that teach document and map appears as it did in the original.  To further increase the usefulness of this and the previous volume an Index of all documents relating to the Civil War in New Mexico has been included.  Also included is the important 1864 map of the Military Department of New Mexico.
